To Obama supporters: Do you have any other reason to support him besides the fact that he is black?

And dont tell me about his “Change” marketing tactic. All politicians promise change. If they promised the same old thing, then no one would listen.
And dont tell me about his honesty and sincerity. If you think politicians are honest and sincere, I have a brooklyn bridge to sell you.

Well since I am a white person, of course I support him only because he is black! How else can I prove to my friends that I am not ******?????
Haha, cmon, obama has the support of millions of americans, black or white or latino or asian or native american. race doesnt matter. And these people support him because he has good views and has the charisma and ability to cross party lines to get these democratic views across.

He appears to have the ability of uniting people from all walks of life. He appears to unite parties, races, classes, states, nations, etc.
In my opinion, America really needs to unite domestically and globally right now because currently, we are very, very divided.

I just read on an internet blog, that if Obama was white with the exact same experience, no one would be excited about him as a candidate. I had never thought of that before - but it makes sense. He’s a freshman senator without a long history - I don’t know why people are acting like he’s the savior of the world. I went on his website and he never states where he’s going to get the money for all the “changes” and “hope” he plans to bring about.

I support him, not based on race as you imply. You should learn that there are good and bad persons regardless of race and gender.

I can tell you why I DO NOT support him. Because he is not a patriot, he hates everything this country stands for. And he promised to legalize the cultural invaders from Mexico.

I voted for Barack because his platform aligned with a number of my views. Barack plans to remove combat troops from Iraq within the first two years of his administration, while keeping non-combative peacekeeping troops throughout the area. Diplomacy is necessary to better the situations taking place in the Middle East, not war. Barack plans to improve immigration issues by addressing concerns here in America, but more importantly by encouraging and promoting economic growth in Mexico to help lessen the need for individuals to flee to the U.S. for a better life for their families. Barack supports national health care for people who do not receive insurance from their employers. He also plans to create the American Opportunity Tax Credit (AOTC) which would make the first $4,000 of college free for most Americans and make community college education free for most students. Students must perform community service in order to receive the $4,000 grant.
I also voted for Barack because he inspires me. He makes me feel like it is ok to hope. Like it is ok for me to believe that change is not only necessary, but that it is possible. To me he seems to be sincere in his love for America. Sincere in his beliefe that we should not be separated from each other, red states from blue states, democrats from republicans, *** from straight, liberal from conservative, by race, by gender, or by anything else that can be used to divide us. As he said in his 2004 keynote address, “We are all one people, pledging allegiance to the Stars and Stripes.” He encourages us to get back to this mentality, the mentality that made this country what it is. The mentality that made this country great. We, for whatever reason, have strayed away from unity and hope. I believe Barack Obama to be the man that can lead us back to a state of nobility.
